OUR ROLE

In times of crisis, hospitals don't close, they expand their coverage of care. CJCLIFE has never been a club for Christians, we are a hospital for hurting people. As the CDC and local officials modify guidelines we will remain open and active but we must shift our perspective. This is the church’s finest hour, and CJCLIFE will rise to the challenge of meeting the needs of our community. The need is great, but so is the opportunity, so here is our plan to reach, connect, grow and go:

REACH

On Sundays we will meet spiritual needs through gathering online together where you can receive prayer, chat with other members and watch the message. To enhance the experience for those with children, our team has prepared specific resources that will include worship and a lesson. We encourage you to gather your family and watch online during our service times.

CONNECT

We connect through life groups and it will be important in this season to stay connected with each other. We are encouraging all groups to continue connecting through virtual meetings if possible. If you need help finding a group to connect with please send us an email at [email protected].

Text "CARE" and your concern to 210.724.3353 or [email protected] and someone from our team will reach out to you.

GROW

"For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires" (Hebrews 4:12).

"It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it." (Isaiah 55:11)

One of the best ways to grow in this season is to draw near to God through His word. As you read have faith that God is doing an incredible work in you because His word says it is!

To help you grow in the word, we will maintain a weekly message and bible reading plan in our app with fresh content. Download the CJCLIFE Church App and click on Messages and Bible to start reading.

GO

We have launched the CJCLIFE Church COVID-19 Help Response Team to meet the physical needs of our community. This team will be packing food and supplies for hurting families, and hosting checkpoints around the city to distribute those resources. If you would like serve, you can find details here.

STAY INFORMED

The media is aflame with daily updates and it’s impossible to read, absorb and respond to every news report or latest rumor. We’re following a reliable list of information for educational, planning and management purposes.

  • Remember no matter how dire circumstances get, the Lord remains our refuge and strength, "He is an ever-present help in trouble" (Ps. 46:1). To trust in the Lord amid trouble is to experience and bear witness to the power of Christ.

  • CDC on COVID-19: The US Center for Disease Control’s up-to-date resources on coronavirus.

  • Addressing Mental Health Issues: This resource from the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Network provides guidelines for addressing mental health issues that may arise, and offers advice for messaging, including among children, older adults, people with disabilities, and those in quarantine.
